Website Jongerenwelzijn

The project

Jongerenwelzijn is the agency for youth welfare and child protection of the Flemish government in Belgium. Their tagline is “giving direction to young life”.

Jongerenwelzijn’s website suffered heavily from the “government agency website syndrome”: a lot of information hidden behind an obscure information architecture, topped off with some outdated design.

This major redesign project included extensive input from target audiences in the form of surveys, card sorting and tree testing exercises. The final result is a modern, well-structured source of information for both professional and public users.

Note: Project as a full-time employee of agentschap Jongerenwelzijn. This agency since has merged with another agency and the website was completely changed.
